Growing Through Nature
Our programs are thoughtfully designed to nurture each child’s natural curiosity through exploration, play, and connection to the world around them. Rooted in a Reggio Emilia and a nature-based approach, we create meaningful experiences that support independence - allowing every child to develop at their own rhythm within a warm and respectful environment.
Our Programs
Ages 0-2
The Seedlings
A gentle beginning rooted in rhythm, nature, and connection. Infants are held in a calm, responsive environment where trust grows through warm relationships, sensory exploration, and unhurried days.
18 months-3 years
The Sprouts
A world made for movement, wonder, and becoming. Toddlers explore forests, stories, water, mud, language, and play as they build confidence, independence, and connection to the living world.
Ages 2 - 3
Ages 3 - 5
The Blossoms
Big ideas begin here. Through project work, nature immersion, art, and collaborative exploration, children think deeply, create boldly, and learn through curiosity, beauty, and relationship.
Ages 4-7
The Orchard
A modern forest classroom for thoughtful, capable learners. Children engage in hands-on academics, outdoor exploration, and meaningful community work that nurtures creativity, resilience, and a strong sense of self. Designed for afterschol for grades Tk-2nd.
Arrival & Garden Play
Mornings begin slowly and intentionally, with warm greetings, natural light, and calming spaces designed to help children feel safe, connected, and ready to explore. Children settle into the day through play, storytelling, building, art, and quiet moments of connection with friends and teachers.
Gathering
Each morning, children gather for songs, movement, stories, and shared conversations that build community and spark curiosity. We honor the “hundred languages” of childhood by encouraging children to express ideas through art, music, dramatic play, movement, and nature-based exploration.
Project Work & Atelier
Learning unfolds through hands-on projects inspired by children’s interests, questions, and discoveries in the world around them. Teachers guide learning through observation, thoughtful questions, and meaningful experiences that invite creativity, collaboration, and deep thinking.
Shared Lunch
Meals are shared as a community, with children practicing independence, conversation, and care for one another through simple daily rituals. These moments create connection and help children feel grounded in the rhythm of the day.
Rest & Reflection
Quiet spaces throughout the school offer children time to rest, reflect, read, draw, or simply slow down. We honor the developmental need for balance, knowing children learn best when they feel emotionally and physically supported.
Outdoor Play
Much of the day is spent outdoors climbing, gardening, building, observing wildlife, and exploring the rhythms of the natural world. Nature becomes both classroom and teacher, helping children develop resilience, confidence, and connection to the land around them.
The Rhythm of Our Day
At Peacock’s, the day unfolds slowly and intentionally—through mud kitchens, watercolor mornings, climbing branches, shared stories, and long conversations under the trees.
